Calc Engine Overview

Most pay calculations take place in the background on an automated basis, but you can also run the Calc Engine as needed. A typical reason for manually running the Calc Engine is to calculate balances after merging corrections made in the View Invalid Transactions module.

You can see the results of your calculations in the Time Card Editor module and in the payroll system reports.

When pay-to-schedule profiles are set up, on every calculation TimeSaver generates punches based on employees’ predefined schedules. Similarly, when gap coverage profiles are set up, TimeSaver always recalculates time worked and employee pay.

Use the Calc Engine to calculate pay for a specified pay group for a specified pay period. (The pay period must be open.) On the Calc Engine page you can select additional parameters for running the calculations.

Starting from the TimeSaver home page, make the following selections:
