Benefit calculations usually run in the background while you are working in TimeSaver. However, you sometimes need to run the Benefit Engine through the Benefit Engine page to calculate benefit balances for employees as needed. The Benefit Engine page allows you to select parameters for running the Benefit Engine. The Benefit Engine calculates accrued benefits for a specified pay group for a specified pay period. The calculations are performed only for active employees who have been assigned a benefit plan.
Your security rights determine the information you can view, add, update, and delete in TimeSaver. For an overview of security information, see Security Overview.
Benefit Engine functionality is available if your organization chose to activate the Benefit Tracking module, and if you have access to the Benefit Engine Screen security function.
Benefit Tracking reports are available through the Reporting area of the TimeSaver home page (Reporting ~ Benefit Tracking). To ensure that the data on the Benefit Tracking reports is up to date and accurate, run the Benefit Engine prior to generating any Benefit Tracking report. Run the Benefit Engine for the pay periods for which you are generating the report.
